What’s in it for me?
Our client is a leading Global software house, with a specialist team and regional head office based right here in Christchurch. They are well known for offering the best of both worlds - a large and complex enterprise technology stack that you’d expect within a global, all with the close-knit team environment of a local business. A long standing employer in Christchurch, they are continuing to grow.

Due to the need to cover a period of maternity, plus growth within the business, we are now currently recruiting for a Software Engineer in Test to fill a contract opportunity in Christchurch.

What would I be doing?

The candidate will be a member of the QA automation team working across a range of responsibilities including:
  • Development and maintenance of automated build and deployment systems for both development and multiple supported production environments in Azure and On Premises.
  • Developing and leading the automation effort; writing scripts and code to perform automated testing cycles in a timely and efficient manner, capturing defects, assessing and improving Software quality.
  • Owning automation of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
What do I need?
The position requires a motivated team player with a strong and proven background in Software Development (C#) and Test Automation. Successful applicants will be committed to quality and will demonstrate a dedicated, yet flexible approach to work.
Required qualifications and competencies include:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Test Engineer.
  • 2 Years using C# and .NET
  • At least a year developing and maintaining Continuous Integration Builds and Releases.
  • PowerShell Scripting experience
  • ISTQB certification an advantage.
