What’s in it for me?
This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled software engineer with a solid understanding of 3D graphics, interest in computational design, and experience in writing scalable web applications to join the Computational Design Group (part of Trimble Buildings) in beautiful Wellington.

You will work in an environment offering the benefits of both a startup and established global business, becoming a core team member working on an ambitious project that is poised to transform manufacturing & construction, and reach millions of users.

What would I be doing?
Working in a local team, collaborating with global counterparts, you will play a significant role in the selection of appropriate design/architecture, technologies and tools, and drive the overall development of client-side code for Trimble’s (2D and 3D graphics-heavy) computational design web applications. You will also assist in developing, maintaining and deploying the server-side aspects of these applications.

You can also expect to get involved in a broad range of tasks and focus, with touch points across product architecture, UX and UI.

What do I need?
We are looking for a rock solid Senior Web Developer with expert knowledge in modern JavaScript/ECMAScript, experience with modern web frameworks and technologies (React, Node.js, ...) and experience with cross platform, multi-language development. Experience with 3D graphics, GPU rendering and WebGL are an ideal platform to really succeed in this role.

You will enjoy working in an ambitious, close knit, collaborative environment and have the experience to drive architecture, development and UI decisions.

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Math proficiency
  • A test-driven development mentality
